You made the original payment by card. In order for us to be compliant we must send money back to the original payment method when paying a refund.
Card payments are processed automatically and the payment should reach your account in around 14 days. Bank Transfer payments require you to give us your details, so make sure you follow the link in your email as soon as you receive it. Don’t delay your refund by providing detail different to that of the original payment method, if you are asked to provide them.
Where possible, yes. We need to do this in order to be compliant. Where your refund is for a large amount or our payment provider cannot process it then it will be directed as a bank transfer and we will write to you to ask for your details The details that you provide must be the same as the original payment by bank transfer, if it is not your refund could be delayed
If you require a Bank Transfer refund then you will receive an email with a secure link. You will need to follow this link and verify your identity BEFORE you enter your bank details. The link can be used more than once from the original email but the verification code expires after 60 minutes, you can request a new code by following the link again and going through the steps to verify your identity. If you have problems with the PayOnline pages or the information we have on system for you is incorrect you will need to contact the Student Services team at the centre/campus where you studied. If you are uncertain of what the information is for a mandatory field in the bank details pages, please check with your bank what they will need in order to receive a payment. Never give your details to someone in email, only enter them once securely logged into PayOnline.
